Wellness- & Ayurveda Hotel PAIERL

We found the calm we needed here, and the resort’s peaceful atmosphere was mesmerizing. There was plenty of healthy food to choose from, and it was incredible. Service was right on point. The whole stay was amazing, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

The massages were very good, though by the third day I honestly felt I’d had enough. The resort is attractive, with lots of Buddhas and crystals, and the incense they burn each day smells lovely. Our suite was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable, even if we had to use two separate quilts. Restaurant and spa service was good, and the meals were nicely presented. There are quite a few saunas and a range of massages. The thermal spa is there, but the hydrotherapy jets only run briefly and there’s no switch to turn them on. We came for the Panchakarma treatment after reading all the glowing reviews, but the place didn’t live up to what some people say. We’ve seen many Ayurvedic doctors before, and the doctors here didn’t seem nearly as knowledgeable as those we’d met elsewhere. It’s a small resort, and by day four I was bored. The walking paths nearby aren’t very interesting either. Almost everything is in German, with very little English material. Yoga and meditation are also in German, which makes it tough for English speakers. The yoga class was too difficult for beginners to keep up with, and the instructor encouraged elderly people to stand on their heads. I worried someone might get hurt. The food selection was very limited, which I understand during Panchakarma, but the price still seemed too high for such restricted meals. The Ayurvedic tea brewed in the spa area had such a strong smell that it gave me a headache and made me gag whenever I passed by. The room had no real view, just a parking lot and another resort, and the balcony was tiny. Some suites have showers and others tubs, which seemed odd. I had to leave early for medical reasons, but they wouldn’t work with me and charged for the room through the end of my booking. I lost $2000. I wouldn’t recommend this place or go back.

The balcony view was amazing, and the room itself was cozy, with a bed that felt just right, not too firm or too soft. The food was delicious, and there’s a great spa and fitness area. Everyone at the hotel was lovely. The receptionists were especially friendly, took time to explain where everything was, and gave me a nice welcome drink. I’m really looking forward to returning.

I’ve stayed here before and keep recommending it to my friends. It’s a welcoming, pleasant place with kind, helpful staff and excellent food. A great resort for relaxing and enjoying some quality downtime. Four stars from me means very good.
