Motel Baden

For what I paid, I got more than expected. The bathroom is brand new, with heated floors and even electric blinds. I don’t really get complaints that the room isn’t modern or has no air conditioning. If those things matter, people can book a four- or five-star hotel and pay two or three times as much. At this low motel price, it’s more than good enough. 😊

For a motel, this felt overpriced and poor value. The bed, mattress, and pillows were uncomfortable, and we woke up with sore backs. There was no air conditioning or fridge, and the room didn’t even have complimentary lotion or bottled water. Breakfast choices were very limited. The Best Western hotel we stayed at in Germany the night before cost about 20 euros less and was much better than Baden Motel.

Parking was easy, and the motel is calm despite being not far from the highway. It’s well equipped, reasonably priced, and has a good breakfast and friendly front desk staff. There’s also a great restaurant and wine bar, Weingut Breyer, within walking distance. I’d definitely stay again.

It’s a small, family-run hotel with polite, professional staff and very clean rooms. The menu is short, but the food is really good. Breakfast is standard, though you can also order scrambled eggs with bacon, my favorite. The price is very reasonable.
