We had a great time at Hechenbergerhof, though an accident in the house changed the mood for the rest of our stay. We accept our share of responsibility, and eventually reached a resolution we were satisfied with. Still, our host's first response felt neither appropriate nor professional, and that had a big effect on how the following days felt. We probably won't return. The property sits at the edge of Bichlbach's village centre, close enough to walk to the sports shop and the practice slope, which is the village's only slope. The petrol station, supermarket, and Kopfalmbahn-gondola are a short drive away, and the larger Berwang area is easy to reach by bus or car. The connected buildings are styled like a row of chalets and feel cosy inside. The kitchen is rather small, including the storage, but has two fridges, cooking plates, and an oven, so it works for everyday meals. We brought our own oven dishes to use the oven fully. Being able to do one load of laundry for free, in another building, was handy with our two-year-old. Bring your own washing powder.

The area is beautiful, the flat was nice and clean, and the host was really helpful. There wasn't any information in English.
