Pension Mitteregg

It's a lovely place to return to at the end of the day, with access to the diverse regions of Hohe Tauern National Park. The smaller pension has seven rooms, clean traditional-looking rooms, a nice view, and a very friendly hostess. The local food is good and often home-grown. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, well-organised stay.

Pension Mitteregg is now a holiday home rather than a guesthouse, with space for 20 people. The facilities are good and it has everything you need. Some rooms have been renovated, but the rest feel very old-fashioned.

From the living room and terrace, there's a lovely view over Hollersbach and the surrounding mountains. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and it's a short drive to the first lift in the Kitzbühel ski area. The accommodation is very spacious and has excellent amenities. The built-in industrial kitchen has plenty of room, and all the appliances and cooking utensils are provided in abundance and work perfectly. The separate living units each have their own bathroom, and some have small kitchens too.

The communal kitchen appliances are very slow, which makes cooking difficult. Otherwise, this spacious place works well for several small groups or one large group. They've thought of everything, including a heated room for hiking boots and a sauna. The living room has spectacular views, the rooms are comfortable and each has its own bathroom, and some have a separate kitchen. There is plenty to see and do nearby.
