Hotel Hohes Licht

The only thing missing during our six nights before Christmas 2025 was more snow, which of course nobody can control. The pool and spa were lovely and well kept, and the rooms, though a little small, were warm, very clean, and had comfortable beds. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, including eggs made to order, and the five-course dinner was outstanding every night. There’s only a small bar menu at lunch, but it worked well for a quick stop. Manuela, René, and their team put in so much effort, always with a smile. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

The hosts are warm and welcoming, and the food is a real highlight. Dinner is a gourmet menu of five or six courses, beautifully presented and delicious. Rooms are cozy, tidy, and cleaned every day. The hotel sits right on the ski slopes, with a basement ski room for equipment. Downstairs there’s also a pool, sauna, steam bath, children’s play area, and a private relaxation space. Boutique Hotel Hohes Licht is a place I’d happily recommend.

After a hike, it’s lovely to swim or spend time in the spa, and the cable car station is close by. The room and location were great, the food was tasty with plenty of variety, and the hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A really nice place for a holiday.

We came for a week in summer and would gladly return. The hotel is quiet, not too large, and very well placed for hiking, with attractive marked routes nearby and lovely views. Our room was neat and comfortable, with everything we wanted, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The restaurant deserves special mention too, every evening felt like a gastronomic treat. Hotel Hohes Licht had everything we expected from a four-star hotel, and more.
