Relaxed Urban Living - Apartements

On departure day, we had agreed with the workers to leave at 10:05 so my wife, who was ill, could finish packing. They had returned to drill at 10:00 and allowed us those five extra minutes. About half an hour later, the owner charged my card 120 Euros for that delay. After I spent an hour raising complaints, they said they would refund it, but the money had already left my card. That was the end of a stay full of problems. We booked a room advertised with a great view, but all we could see was the next building. The replacement apartment they offered was much worse, so we stayed in the original room, with no view from its great balcony. On the second day, workers arrived wanting to drill a hole in a permanent wall. Several times they asked us to wait in the room for hours, then eventually changed their minds and did no drilling. We received no compensation for any of this. Instead, the host sent us an official message through Booking com asking us to give a score of 10 in exchange for a 10% discount on a future booking. Is that fair or honest? How does Booking com allow it? The staff are awful, among the two worst I have met in 30 years of travel across 70 countries. This is Austria, Europe, not Asia, Africa or South America. What a shame. We will never return, and this is the true story, with nothing in it for me.
