The owner was extremely friendly, and breakfast was really good. There’s free wifi and about half a dozen parking spaces guests can use at no charge. I’d recommend staying here with a three year old, though there’s no baby car, which would make things a little more troublesome. There aren’t that many stairs overall. I’d happily stay again.

Really good value, with delicious food and tasty local wine. The dishes are very Alpine. The menu is only in German, so you might need a little basic German to get by.

The owner was very friendly, and we managed to understand each other despite the possible language barrier. He even opened the bar when we were probably the last guests, or at least very late. The price is very affordable, and the beds were comfortable and clean. The guest house has lovely lake views and is surrounded by beautiful nature. We only stayed overnight and regretted not having more time to explore everything the area offers, so I'd suggest staying another night or arriving early. If I get the chance, I'd love to return. Hugs and greetings to the owner, and I hope everything is fine with covid.

Dinner and breakfast were both really good, and the service was great. Back in June 2018, we rode a Harley Davidsson Breakout 2016 from Luleå in northern Sweden, through Germany and Prague, on to Ebensee. At check-in at Gasthof Roitner, they offered us a garage spot for the motorcycle, but we parked it behind the hotel's brick wall, out of sight and well protected. That evening, we guessed we had become the hotel's snack bar. We could tell they hadn't realized how much German we understood :) Two Swedes had ridden 3000 km on a Harley Davidsson and were heading on through Austria. Charming and honest.

Affordable, great food, and a really nice place to stay. It's only a short walk from Ebensee Landungsplatz train stop.
