The stained glass gives the place a great feel, and the service was consistently lovely. The servers were kind and attentive, even after carrying trays up and down two flights of stairs through a sliding door near the bar. My brother-in-law, who used to live in Salzburg, sent us here because locals eat here. We liked it enough to return the next evening. The first night I had the Master Brewer Goulash with bread dumplings, rich and delicious, and we loved the pumpkin seed potato salad so much that it’s now my favorite version. On our return, we both ordered schnitzel and were glad we came back. One of our favorite and most authentic meals in Salzburg.

Really good beer, including Edelweiss, which might be a fun Sound of Music reference. The spot is great too. Even on a packed day, service was quick, and our Croatian waiter kept us laughing. Would definitely recommend.

That busy dining room didn’t slow the team down at all. Our waiter’s lively humor had us laughing through the meal, and the food was delicious. The Edelweiss beer was a nice extra. Highly recommend!

My mother has celiac disease, and we told the staff about it ahead of our Christmas Eve visit. Since few restaurants were open that night, we explained the allergy clearly, but they still served her a dish with gluten in the sauce. The schnitzel I ordered was almost inedible too: grey meat, greasy batter, and meat so tough I could barely cut it. We each took one bite of the dishes, paid, and left. Very poor experience. This feels like a place for drinks, not dinner.

A lovely dinner for our family of seven. The food was amazing, and our waiter from Croatia was cheerful and very friendly. We didn’t catch his name, but his happy service made the evening.
