Ellmauer Hof

The food came quickly and was good, though nothing outstanding, and our waiter was friendly. We arrived for dinner a little late by Austrian standards, around 7.30 pm. The owner didn’t seem very welcoming and said they’d already served so many people that day, but still found us a table. It’s right on the main street, with good parking in front of the house. Still a good option if you’re passing by and want dinner.

There’s a bus stop just around the corner, and the staff really care about you. It’s a cosy, homely family hotel with a great menu and some kind of surprise dessert. I’d recommend it for a vacation 🙂😍

We made a reservation twice, and both times they failed to write it down properly. There was no effort to find a solution, just an apology and a flat “we can’t do anything for you.” The first time was at Christmas, the second was for my parents’ 35th wedding anniversary. They showed no consideration for customers, and the service was very bad. They can’t take orders properly. Don’t go here!

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the atmosphere was nice. Food was tasty, with big portions.
