Pension Tirolerhof

The ski bus stops right outside, and the price was very reasonable. The pension was clean and tidy, with excellent breakfast and wonderful hosts. Perfect. Thanks Patrick, Barbara and team.

The family looking after Tirolerhof are really warm, and you feel at home there. We’ve been staying for six or seven years, I think, and love coming back whenever we can. We’ve never been in summer. Service is good, rates are reasonable, and it’s close to the mountain top and ski slopes.

The person working at this pension got very angry and was extremely rude over a parking issue. I’d parked on the street where it seemed there were private parking spaces for the pension. Maybe that was my mistake, or perhaps the markings weren’t clear under all the snow. There were five to ten other empty spaces, so it wasn’t a big issue for me. The one star I’ve given is already too generous. Try being a little friendlier, and I’ll never stay here. Nice job!

The hosts speak German and English, are very friendly, and know the local area well enough to point you to good places for making the most of your holiday. Dinner is fantastic and holds its own against anything in town. On my second stay at Pension Tirolerhof, I spent a week there in February. The rooms are lovely, the town centre is a short walk away, and the bus right outside goes straight to the ski slopes. This was my second time at the pension and third in Ellmau. I’ll definitely return, and I’ve already booked for next year.
