The cows, ponies, and chickens just behind the house were a lovely part of the stay, and the trip was really successful overall. Ellmau is about a five-minute drive away, but getting to a shop or restaurant from Pali would likely mean having a car. The rooms and bathrooms were fine, and the kitchen was basic. Hot water is only available at certain times, so it’s worth checking when. Drying ski boots was difficult without a boot dryer. I’d suggest adding one.

There are hiking trails all around, and the guest card comes with plenty of benefits. The location is fantastic, with dairy cows right outside. Everything was clean and well cared for, the staff were very friendly, and the view is beautiful. Definitely worth visiting.

The view is what stays with you: when you wake up, you can see the Wilder Kaiser mountain range, with mountains all around the hotel and a huge meadow in between. Heidi welcomed us warmly and showed us around, explaining what there is to do nearby and mentioning tours such as the one from "Der Bergdoktor". The rooms are nicely furnished. Our bathroom was small and quite dark, with dark brown tiles, though I can’t say whether all the rooms are like that. That was my only criticism. It’s a beautiful place, and I’d happily stay here again if we’re in the area. Five stars from me. Top!

The balcony looks straight out onto spectacular Wilder Kaiser scenery, and the farm is in a wonderful spot for hikes, nature, Bergdoktor filming locations, or simply a quiet break from the crowds. Our little ones loved being close to the animals, watching them get fed and wandering around the grounds. Heidi’s warm welcome made us feel at home right away. We had such a lovely time at Oberachenhof and can recommend this charming farm. We’ll be back and are already looking forward to it. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The ponies, cows, and cat were the children’s big highlights, and we all felt at ease there. We stayed for a week on holiday, and it was a dream for the kids. The landlady was so friendly and easy to reach whenever we had a question. A lovely place for a holiday, and we’ll definitely return. 😊
