Turmhotel

Getting up to the room means tackling some very steep steps, but it's worth it. Staying in a luxury room inside a bell tower was a totally unique hotel experience.

The room is well worth the difficult climb, and it's such a romantic spot. Every 15 minutes, a bell chime automatically updates, which is interesting too. There's a nice Thai restaurant on the main square. Just right for a romantic night with your sweetheart.

The Uniqat was very nicely furnished, with a detailed renovation, and we had pleasant contact with the owners beforehand. We stayed at the end of October 2024, but the room had a serious damp problem. Paint was peeling in countless spots, there were watermarks on the walls, and it felt like being in a damp basement. Above one window was extensive black mold, completely unacceptable. Cleanliness was also badly lacking: cobwebs filled the corners, especially between the shower and toilet where they were impossible to miss. The shower was heavily scaled, the toilet had a lot of limescale, and there were even droplet-shaped stains on the bed frame, among other things. We left early but still paid for both nights. The owner's email reply never came, though at least he didn't charge us for the minibar.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay. A very friendly woman even gave us the key at the grocery store. The hotel room was tastefully and lovingly restored, with great attention to detail. Our night in the Enns town tower was a special experience we'll remember for many years. Thank you!
