A few walking paths and picturesque spots are close to the apartment. The interiors are cosy and well equipped, and the hosts are helpful and likeable. It’s a very good place to stay in Zillertal Valley, and I’m always happy to come back.

We stayed for a week in January at Haus Alexandra, in apartment Kolmblick, and found it a lovely place with all sorts of amenities. The bedroom is spacious and the bed comfortable; there are 2 showers with toilets, plus a kitchen with an oven, a four-burner stove and a dishwasher. We also enjoyed the sunny terrace. The hosts were friendly and very hospitable, and there’s a bread delivery service. The ski bus leaves from right outside, but you need to book it in advance. The hostess explains how it works and can arrange the taxi/bus if you want. From 3 p.m., and then every half hour, you can take the bus back to the cottage. It drops you at Finkenberger Almbahnen, where you’re picked up again. For us, it was a beautiful, peaceful base for getting into the Mayrhofen ski area. It also seems well placed for summer cycling and hiking.
