Sportpension Aichholzer

We spent New Year’s Eve 2025/2026 with Ari and Charlie at the Sportpension Aichholzer and had a wonderful week. Their warmth and relaxed manner make it clear they run the guesthouse with real passion. Finchen was welcome too, and had a completely easy, relaxed stay. The rooms were cozy and spotless, and we felt at home. But the New Year’s Eve meal was the big surprise: flame-grilled salmon from the fire pit, followed by grilled beef fillet, both Michelin-star quality. A huge compliment to the hosts. For genuine, personal accommodation on Lake Faak that goes well beyond the standard, this is a great choice. We’d love to come back. We had a lovely family stay. The rooms at the Schwarzkogel were new and well equipped, and the hosts were friendly, helpful, and easygoing. The tennis court gets shaded from 4 pm, which made it perfect for playing. Thanks for everything!

The hosts were the best part for us, so warm and welcoming. The kids loved the pool, and both the setting and the surrounding area were lovely. We had everything we needed as a family and would happily return.

We had a spacious, clean, comfortable apartment and fresh rolls waiting each morning. The guesthouse has a lovely atmosphere, a great pool, and a handy location. Since we came by train without a car, the owner kindly took us to the supermarket whenever we needed and offered us a ride back to the station on our last day. Coffee and other drinks are available during the day and evening for a small charge. We stayed from Thursday, July 25th, to Saturday, August 10th, and had a fantastic time. We hope to come back.
