The food was very good, but the service was awful. We’d stopped for dinner with family and friends. A staff member pointed us to indoor seating because there was no room outside, then another told us off and asked what we were doing there, saying inside was only for hotel guests. When I paid by card, nobody even thanked me. Such a shame.

Our little dog was welcome, and we had a lot of fun in the evening with the mini golf/biljart course in the garden. There’s also a nice area for walks and other outdoor activities. We stopped at this very nice hotel and restaurant on the way to our summer holiday in Southern Europe. It’s close to the Autobahn, but you don’t notice once you’re inside. The rooms and hotel were impeccable, and the kitchen serves very nice Austrian cuisine. I won’t even get into winter sports, with the ski lift right outside the hotel.

I thought the €21 three-item menu would be better value, since €19 bought only a main course. It really wasn't. The portions were small, the food seemed frozen and reheated, and the place had a strange atmosphere. I only came in because I needed dinner and it was open. One of the worst restaurants I've been to, and overpriced.

The food was decent, though the portion was small for the price. Service was OK, and the location was alright. If you're driving, Flachau has more places to choose from and better food.
