The thing I'll remember most is how welcome we felt. Mister and miss Sommavilla were genuinely interested in us, and I enjoyed every conversation during the week. They made a comfort zone for us in a foreign country, where we could spend precious time together and make memories to last a lifetime. I wish them all the best and would recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a warm place to stay in the magnificent Stubaital. We spent a sunny February week at Sommavilla, close to Innsbruck airport and the family ski area Schlick 2000, where our kids tried skiing for the first time. We also hoped to visit Stubaier Gletscher if they progressed, with its more than 100 kilometers of ski slopes and beautiful views. The location worked perfectly: the ski bus stop is around the corner, only 50 meters away, and you can see Schlick 2000 from the balcony. Supermarkets and a bakery are nearby, and Stubaier Gletscher is a 25-minute drive. The hosts welcomed us warmly and gave useful advice about getting around and finding village restaurants and supermarkets. They showed us where to park, keep our skis and snowboard, and dry clothes and gear. We were also invited to use the basement table tennis table, which the kids loved after a long day skiing. The apartment is straightforward, very clean, and has what you need for a holiday like ours. The beds and couch are comfortable, there's plenty of storage, and the kitchen has an oven, bread toaster, and even an egg cooker. The balcony was good for keeping drinks cool and enjoying the spectacular views. We wanted somewhere away from home that felt like home, and Sommavilla did exactly that.

The apartment is a high standard, with large rooms, and the owner is very nice and talkative. Schlick2000 is close by, with two bus stops about 50 meters away.

We had a really pleasant stay, and the host was incredibly kind and friendly. When we arrived, he gave us tips right away, showed us where things were, and mentioned we could use the table tennis table if it rained. He was easy to ask questions, and would greet us whenever we ran into him. The bathroom is a little dated, but that didn't bother us, and everything was very clean. Shops and several bus stops are a 5-10 minute walk away. The WiFi could be stronger, since it only really works in the living room, but we still give it five stars.
