Brunnwirt Essen & Wohnen

We spent every day in the amazing lake, using the paddle boards they provided, and sat out on the deck in the evenings. The view from the windows and deck was unbelievable. Our family, two adults and two kids, stayed in early July. The apartment was immaculate, with a simple kitchen that had everything we needed. It made a perfect base for exploring the lake region. Salzburg center was about a 30 minute, very easy and clean public bus ride away; the bakery in town was about a 10 minute walk, and supermarkets in the area about a 10 minute drive. We met Gerti & Johannes, who were friendly and very responsive by email. It was an amazing experience, and we were sad to leave. We hope we're lucky enough to stay again. Thank you!

The food and the beautiful natural surroundings were the real highlights for us. We stayed at Brunnwirt - Essen & Wohnen in Fuschl am See in winter, and the quiet off-season made for a peaceful escape. Our studio worked perfectly for four people, with practical comforts and everything we needed. The view was like a postcard. The location also made it easy to enjoy trekking nearby and take a short trip to Salzburg for some culture. We're already planning to return. Brunnwirt is a gem worth discovering!

The owners were fantastic, friendly, and helpful, and the apartment was beautiful. Everything was great, and we really appreciate it. It was a fantastic location for families. We'll surely come back.

The warmth of Johannes and Gerti was what made this place so special. The view, the area, and being close to Salzburg and the surrounding towns were all wonderful too. My wife and I stayed at Brunnwirt - Essen & Wohnen from Christmas Eve until December 26th, on our first visit to Austria. We knew from the moment we booked this lovely B&B that we'd made the right choice. Johannes and Gerti contacted us well in advance to explain that the restaurant would be closed and there wouldn't be activities during the holiday. In the area, things normally close down completely from December 24-26th. Since we were the only guests then, they offered to do grocery shopping for us and went out of their way to make our stay extra special. I wish I'd had the chance to try the restaurant, but if it's half as good as the people running the place, it'd be the best meal I've ever eaten. We miss it so much that we're already planning another visit.
