Hotel & Spa Ebner's Waldhof am See

Mark, our dinner waiter, really stood out. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made our evenings memorable and lifted the whole stay. Everyone was welcoming and attentive. The resort has beautiful lake views that made it feel calm and special from the moment we arrived. The facilities were excellent: the gym had everything I needed, including plenty of free weights, bars, and plates, which is rare even at high-end hotels. There are also lots of indoor and outdoor pools and a huge sauna area. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.

For the accommodation price and the in-house offers, I expected more. The food was more or less average, and I got the sense this place is aimed at older generations, around 40-100, who like things as they were in the “good old days.” The place is a bit dated and no longer feels very modern. The curtain had holes, and I spotted mold and rust around the pool and sauna area.

The food was the weak point for us. Lunch was extremely disappointing, and dinner felt overcomplicated, with lots of courses that were mediocre and lacked flavor. I’d much rather have simpler dishes done well than fancy presentation without taste. Otherwise, our hotel experience was fantastic. The staff were wonderful, professional, attentive, and clearly doing their best to provide excellent service. The setting is breathtaking, the views are stunning, and everything was impeccably clean and well maintained. I travel a lot, and this was one of our best hotel stays.

The serene atmosphere and exquisite cuisine made this a truly refined, memorable stay. The staff were outstanding and attentive throughout. One of the most exceptional resorts I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.
