For us, this was a once-in-a-lifetime visit, but we wouldn’t return. We liked the large room and did enjoy our stay in some ways, yet the whole place felt like a factory run the same way for 20 years, with no changes or new ideas. There was little personal attention, and at times the experience felt like a joke. We were greeted by a friendly man wearing a mask with an elephant and a sock on it. But there weren’t proper COVID measures in the elevators or restaurants, and the outdoor pool hadn’t been cleaned for several days. Dinner was rushed: five courses in just under an hour, with no welcome and no question about fish or a vegetarian option. We were handed the bill while eating the cheese course. Charging €1 for tap water at a four-star half-board hotel also seemed funny, especially when the cooks seemed to add extra salt. We paid €152 and didn’t feel it was money well spent. Next time, we’ll look for cooks who enjoy cooking, waiters who enjoy their work, and a place that gives guests genuine attention and tries to create a unique experience.

I stayed here in 2015 and thought the service was excellent. The food was to die for. There are two heated pools, one indoors and one outdoors; I swam in both, and the outdoor one would be lovely in summer. Both were really clean. Drinks with meals and at the bar seemed to be cash only, though I’m not sure whether they could be charged to the room.

A beautiful hotel in Gaschurn, Montafon, with a delicious breakfast and an even better dinner. Beer and a wide selection of good wines made the meal complete. You can enjoy the spa or go winter sports.

A nice, very good hotel in Gaschurn, with good service and a restaurant serving typical Austrian food. It also has a swimming pool and a spa with different kinds of saunas.
