The spa was wonderful, and breakfast in the hotel restaurant had lots of good options. Our chalet apartment itself felt brand new, modern and cozy, with everything thought through, including the kitchen utensils. Great bathroom, comfy beds and a balcony too. Just perfect, I highly recommend it.

The staff were attentive and knew the local area well, which added to our stay at Sporthotel Chalets. After days out skiing or hiking, the spa and gourmet food made it easy to unwind. The wooden chalets have a cozy, rustic feel, while still offering modern comforts. Set among the Austrian Alps, it's a lovely base whether you're here for winter sports or the quieter summer scenery.

The staff we met were super nice, though when we asked questions, it often seemed nobody knew the answers. I was told the difficulty finding people might be related to corona, which could explain it, but I wanted to mention it. We still enjoyed our stay and would come back. The rooms were nice, with attractive wooden interiors in many of them, and most have a balcony. Ask for a south-facing room if that's what you want. The sauna is downstairs in the basement, and parking is in an underground garage. Breakfast was alright.

Getting around the area was convenient, with the ski lift, bakeries, shops and restaurants nearby. Beyond that, our week was deeply disappointing, and we've never had a worse hotel stay despite travelling often for work and holidays, including internationally. We booked three chalets for ten people in February and asked specifically to have them next to one another. Instead, we were split up. Two chalets had silverfish, and the bed linen had stains that made us question the cleanliness. The layout also didn't work for our group: the chalets weren't suitable for four adults, with very little room to move. The largest one was only suited to two people, while the two smaller ones were meant for four each. The welcome was cold, and we felt that lack of hospitality throughout. Breakfast was set for only nine despite our booking for ten. The standard didn't feel like a four-star hotel to us. Some rooms were cleaned only once and the towels weren't replaced. There were no tea bags or body lotion dispensers, either. In the ski room, the lockers were small, the boot vents blew only cold air so the boots didn't dry, and there was barely anywhere to sit. The chalets are actually apartments across the road from the hotel. We had to walk across the street in bathrobes to reach the large spa, which would have been fine if we'd known in advance. At checkout, we were asked to sign the bill and spotted an incorrect €100 deposit charge. When we raised it and showed the keys, the receptionist was extremely rude and called us aggressive. We were only trying to correct the bill, but she became angry. Nobody apologized, and it felt as though we were being charged for something we didn't owe. We've since tried for a week to reach management to sort it out, with four phone calls and messages on social media, but are giving up. We wanted to discuss it in person, yet there seems to be no interest. The hotel is poor value, with unfriendly staff and no hospitality. We'd never recommend it or stay again.

For our silver wedding anniversary, we booked a chalet and the hotel upgraded us to a deluxe one. What a treat. There was a bathtub, a huge rain shower that could double as a steam room, and even a sauna. The breakfast buffet was superb, the food was excellent, and everyone working at the hotel was very friendly. The spa area was beautiful too. That's how a holiday should feel. Absolutely top-notch!
