Bergparadies

The hotel staff made us feel very welcome and were incredibly friendly. Elizabeth deserves a special mention for being so kind, helpful, and understanding. We spent some time here in spring and summer, when the weather and scenery were beautiful. I can imagine winter being magical too, probably like Whistler/Canada. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend the place!

The location is perfect, but the reception staff were extremely unfriendly. We booked a week and were given just one worn-out towel. We could get a replacement only by paying 5 euro. Please avoid this place if you can.

The breakfast was plentiful, and the chef could make some things to order, like omelettes and pancakes. Staff at reception and in the dining room were smiling and helpful. We also made use of the drinks and local-specialties vending machine, and the little gift when we left was a nice touch. We stayed at Bergparadies with our children this July and were very satisfied. Parking was included, with a short walk to the entrance, and there were always free spaces. Our room was modern, spacious, and interestingly designed, with a TV that had Netflix. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The large terrace was wonderful, though the weather meant we couldn’t use it much. It was handy being close to Spar, bus and train stops, and the cable car, and we used them all. The Gastein Card also offers some very interesting discounts 😉. Unlimited access to Alpentherme was a welcome bonus 🤩. The stay suited us perfectly, and we’d love to return, maybe in winter 😇.

Our apartment had a double bed and bunk bed and was in a separate house beside the new building. It felt quite old and cramped. For breakfast, we had to get dressed and walk over to the new building.
