Forsthaus Malerwinkel

The accommodation itself is undoubtedly beautiful, but I can't rely on a confirmed booking with this hostess. She cancelled ours at short notice, even though it had been made months earlier and she had confirmed it personally. Her explanation was that she'd already promised the house to someone else. I consider that approach unethical and want to warn others about it.

The rooms are thoughtfully designed and feel homely, and the modern facilities were more than enough for us. Set in the picturesque Kötschach Valley, the house combines a welcoming atmosphere with beautiful scenery and excellent amenities. It seems like a lovely place for families wanting a relaxing, memorable stay in one of Austria's most beautiful regions.

We keep coming back for the hikes and lovely bike rides in this fabulous setting. The house is super cozy, the children feel comfortable here, and the large kitchen table seats up to 10 people. For us, it's a place to recharge, and spending a vacation here is always a treat.

Our week was fantastic, and we'd love to return. The hosts were very friendly, always around to answer questions and offer tips. The house sits at the end of the valley with mountain views, away from the skiing crowds, so it's a great spot for peace and nature. The cozy rooms have what you need for relaxing evenings cooking and watching TV.
