Amazing.

Super.

Breakfast was a real plus: lots of organic items and homemade jams, with plenty to choose from and everything tasting good. It’s served in the neighboring building, part of the "Bergparadies" apartment complex. The room itself was spacious, but the bathroom was absolutely tiny, though it did have a hairdryer and handwashing and shower gel. Our mattresses were partly worn out. After the first night we asked about it, and they added a mattress topper. Cleaning was every two days, with the beds made and fresh towels provided, but no towel or mat left on the bathroom floor. The "Double room with balcony" in room 18 looks onto the kitchen, the adjoining staff room, and a workshop that is clearly in use. The balcony is shared with the room next door, has no divider, and only has a small fixed table and two chairs. Breakfast has a bit of a company cafeteria feel, and gets loud, especially around 8:00-9:00 a.m. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful, and remarkably patient with so many guests. At check-in, we received extra Gastein Cards by email from other guests. Our package also included access to the thermal baths, which we used to some extent, plus parking there, which was great. Would I return to the Gastein Valley? Yes. I’d like to try "The Storks" in Bad Hofgastein, which was unfortunately closed for vacation this time.

We had a good stay in this lovely, well-located apartment. The balcony is shared with other guests and has no physical divider. There was no kettle, so we had to boil water in a pot for tea and coffee. A service charge is added, but nobody emptied the bin during our four days. Still, a good place to stay.
