It’s been weeks and our deposit still hasn’t been returned. We initially doubted earlier guests who said their deposits had been kept, but now we’ve had the same experience. We tried calling the person responsible, but she hasn’t answered and has basically disappeared with our money.

The rooms are very small. The bigger issue was at checkout: they treated us like thieves and took 600 euro, saying there was water in the bathroom. The treatment was very bad. I don’t think they’re qualified to run a tourism business, and my advice is not to stay at this property.

The room was clean, with a mountain view, and the renovated rooms have all the facilities. It’s an easy walk to the ski lifts, and the big supermarket is very close. The owner was helpful and quick to respond, and the ski room heaters worked well. Highly recommend!

We had a great time in Gastein Valley and will definitely come back. The historic center, thermal baths, mountains, and little rivers are all just a few minutes away, and the valley is beautiful.
