The late arrival was handled so thoughtfully: we got there on bicycles at 1:00 AM, and the receptionist had left keys so we could check in easily. In August 2023, our stay at Jugendherberge surpassed what we'd expected. Everything was spotless, from the rooms and bathrooms to the very comfortable beds. It has a charming youth hostel feel, a peaceful location and really helpful service. Highly recommended! 😊🏨🛏️🚿🕰️

The price is far too high for what you get, and I wouldn't have stayed even one night if I'd known what to expect. There was hardly anything to choose from at breakfast. Our room was dirty from the moment we walked in, with a clump of hair on the floor and dust still there after housekeeping had been through. There were also blue sticky spots at the bottom of the shower. A little water washed them away, but it was still a letdown. Honestly, it couldn't have been much worse.

The cooks are a fun bunch, and their near-perfect memory means they can keep track of guests' food intolerances. The staff are friendly, and the room and shared spaces are clean. I've been coming here for my yearly ski holiday since the 2000s, though I had a 10-year break before returning. It's a great fit for a simple, family-friendly stay within walking distance of one of Austria's best ski resorts. I hope I come back soon and don't leave it so long next time.

They keep cooking after 9p.m., which is handy. The daily special is only 13,90€ and comes with soup, fresh salad, a main and dessert. The soup wasn't great, but it was perfectly edible. On my last visit, the fish fillet was fantastic and the chocolate dessert delicious.
