Hotel zum goldenen Hirschen

There’s a ski room, and the bus to the ski resort leaves just across the street, so it’s a great spot for skiers. Parking is easy, and the pool and foosball tables give you something to do besides the hotel bar, which draws quite a crowd from both guests and villagers. The staff are very friendly. Rooms are spacious and very clean, though they do feel a bit dated.

We booked at the very last minute near the end of midseason, during the autumn holidays, when everything else seemed full or closed. We expected nothing and got everything. The owners were really kind, it’s pet friendly, and the family-run hotel is clean and charming, with a little historic feel, right in the center of a small village. Breakfast was good, the beds calm and comfortable, and the restaurant was nice, with plenty of space for a party or wedding. Parking and wifi are free. It’s family and kid friendly, with a family park just across the street. Restaurants, a spa, a supermarket, and the bus stop are all a few minutes’ walk away. The surroundings and nature are beautiful. Absolutely worth the money, must visit :)

Such a cozy, homey place. I had a wonderful week, with a comfortable room, delicious breakfasts, and staff who were really friendly and helpful.

I had some regional beef, a traditional Austrian dish, and the cuisine was excellent. The service was quick and very friendly. On a warm summer day, the pleasant garden and its old chestnut trees made a nice shady place to sit.
