The apartment was okay in the end, but nothing special. It's in the Lake Gaso area, and while the hotel has a pub and restaurant, the apartments are rented out to other owners. Our apartment was quite small, barely 35 m2. We were told the balcony faced the sea and mountain, but half the view was blocked by a roof and a hotel across from us. Check carefully when booking.

The natural setting is breathtaking, and the accommodation is genuinely spacious, though prices are a bit high. Bear in mind that tourist tax and cleaning fees are extra and added to the booking price. The dinner buffet has a decent selection of traditional dishes, but there aren't many options for children. Drinks cost extra, so be careful when ordering.

We had a fantastic week and would happily come back. The apartment was lovely and very clean, with coffee pods, tea, dishwasher tablets, and dish soap provided. Service also included garbage disposal and fresh towels. It's an ideal base for hiking or via ferrata climbing, and Hallstatt is just 20 minutes away.

The pool and sauna were a lovely bonus after our week skiing in Gosau. We stayed in a spacious, modern apartment that was brand new and very clean. We'd happily come back.
