The staff were nice, but I could barely sleep. People from the neighborhood seem to gather right outside the hotel and chat and laugh extremely loudly late into the night. The rooms don’t block much sound. Avoid.

My family comes over from England to stay with me, and they ask to stay here every time. I’ve lived in Gross Enzersdorf for 24 years, and I have no business or family connection to the owner. He and his family don’t even know I’m writing this. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced, whether you order from the extensive A La carte menu or choose one of the daily specials. They speak English, too. It’s a family-run place, with 22 single and double rooms available for a night or a longer stay. Most have been fairly recently renovated, and the prices are very reasonable, well below many other places nearby. Gross Enzersdorf has good public transport into Vienna, which is only a mile (1.6 Km's) away, so you can save a lot on accommodation by staying here and using the inexpensive transport. Vienna’s public transport is among the most modern systems around. It’s incredibly efficient, with underground trains running like clockwork, and even a one-minute delay is considered poor service. The system and technology are a model for transport. For food and a drink, this is one of the best classic Austrian bar/restaurants left in the 'Marchfeld' Lower Austria. There’s an A La carte restaurant on one side, plus a lovely 'Weinstuble' and a big garden. In summer, grape vines grow overhead. Mike in Austria

Right at the entrance to the national park, the inn is very conveniently located, and I’d choose it over the campsite. There’s a noise from the courtyard throughout the night, apparently coming from a transformer. It doesn’t really bother you unless you’re especially sensitive to noise.

The meals are really good, and the staff are friendly. They also get the food to your table quickly.
