Chalet Belvedere

The Silvretta Card you get in summer is a real bonus, with free use of all the mountain lifts in the area and nice facilities at the top of every mountain, especially for little kids. One tip: from Ischgl, five lifts take you to Samnaun in Switzerland. After two lifts you’re already above 2,700 m, where it’s cold and snowy. The duty-free shopping wasn’t anything special, and everything cost more than in the Netherlands. The apartment itself was quite dated. The old sofa was uncomfortable, and the bed had seen better days. We were greeted kindly with schnapps, and there’s a bread delivery service if you order in time for the next day. Hiking boots aren’t allowed inside, but there’s a storage cupboard downstairs for them. There aren’t facilities like a table tennis table or anything similar. The apartments sit quite a bit above the village, so it’s a climb every time. Ours was on the third floor and there’s no elevator, which meant another climb. The complex is on a narrow, steep road, with just enough narrow parking spaces.

Chalet Belvedere feels a bit underrated to me. The apartments were comfortable, extremely clean, and had everything we needed in the furnishings and amenities. It’s high up in Kappl, with a fantastic view over the valley and mountains, and the hosts are very, very nice. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much!

We didn’t find ourselves short of anything in this cozy, lovely apartment. The view over the valley is breathtaking, and there’s parking right outside the house. We got such a warm welcome and would happily recommend the place. Thanks again.

A spacious kitchen-living room had everything we needed for meals and time together, and the beds and rooms were comfortable. All the rooms have sinks, and two also have private showers. The host was wonderful and friendly, and the apartment was in great shape. The ski bus stops right outside, which made the location ideal.
