Wallnerhof

We felt right at home in this lovely apartment. It’s simple but has what you need, and it was clean, which mattered most to us. The location is fantastic too. We love Großarl. The hostess was so flexible about our departure time, thank you!

We had a great holiday with three families. The apartments were spotless and had everything we needed, and there’s a lovely sauna. Everything is close by. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Mrs. Hettegger was very friendly, and the apartment was incredibly clean. Everything worked just right, including the shower and taps, which were really good. The place is quiet and well located, with everything within walking distance. They also provide bread rolls for breakfast, and the price is more than reasonable.

The landlady was strikingly rude. Our dog barked for 15 minutes on the first day in unfamiliar surroundings. I went to him several times, and then it quieted down so we could go skiing. But when we got back from dinner at 10:30 p.m. 😳, she phoned to tell us, “We'd better stop that!” That was it. We later befriended another couple from Frankfurt who were also there with a dog, and we took turns looking after both dogs. They had a similar experience of her “friendliness.” She may be a landlord, but she certainly isn’t a host. We’ve had very different experiences on our many visits to Großarl and won’t return to Wallnerhof. The house is in a good spot, about 200 meters from the lift, and the apartment has the essentials. But everything is set up for no more than four people, with just four knives, four spoons, and so on, and there’s no dishwasher. There was no balcony furniture either, though sitting there in the midday sun would have been nice. The sauna is lovely, but only available three days a week.
