We booked breakfast even though we weren’t staying there, and it was absolutely worth it. There was plenty to choose from, including make-your-own waffles 🧇 and Kaiserschmarrn 😍. The place had a great feel to it.

The staff really went above and beyond, and there’s loads for kids, from go-karts to a soft-play area. We had a great time in all three pools too. Breakfast was a highlight for me, especially making waffles just how you like them, and there’s an ice-cream station with lots of toppings in the afternoon. We came last August as a family of four. The views were amazing, the airport wasn’t too far away, and there were plenty of things to do within a 15-minute drive. Possibly my best summer holiday yet. If you get the chance to come, don’t miss it.

The saunas and spa were lovely, and dinner was nice. Staff were great 👍. Breakfast was big, though I couldn’t settle on what to have. It could do with more hot vegetarian choices besides eggs. Our room didn’t seem fully prepared, as we found things left behind by previous guests.

We’ve stayed here twice. It’s a family-run hotel in a perfect location, with excellent, delicious food and a well-kept spa. There are plenty of things for adults and kids, including several saunas, relaxation rooms, an outdoor pool and a jacuzzi. The room could use some updating. Our sofa was worn and not clean, and the mattress was worn too, so we didn’t sleep as well as we’d hoped. The furniture and beds could be made more modern.

We spent a week here with our children, and they’re already asking when we can come back. The hotel feels safe enough for them to play without us hovering, and there’s a lot for different ages: soft play for little ones, an arcade game, table football and air hockey for older kids, two playgrounds, pedal go-karts and a petting zoo. Our kids can be pretty boisterous, but the staff seemed genuinely happy to see them being kids. We also found plenty to do nearby. It’s under an hour’s drive from Salzburg airport, and a large playground is only a few minutes’ walk away. The nearby Gleisterberg children’s hike was the highlight for our kids. The pools are roomy, even on very hot, busy days, and we spent hours playing in them. For grown-ups, the spa has saunas at different temperatures, a steam room, quiet spots, a whirlpool and a small infinity pool with jacuzzi features. It was lovely to have somewhere relaxing to go while the kids were settling down for bed. We liked the half-board dinner menu for adults, with simple local ingredients cooked and presented to a high standard. There’s also a buffet-style area with familiar food for children. The restaurant’s design really suited my taste too.
