MONDI Hotel am Grundlsee

The room was comfortable, with a great bed and shower, and upgrading for the view was well worth the extra money. WOW, it was incredible. Dominik welcomed us and looked after us from the start, and everyone at Mondi Hotel was outstanding and so accommodating. The restaurant menu was excellent, and my husband said it was the best meal of our four-week road trip. Great value and a wonderful place to stay. If we're back in Austria, we'll stay here again.

After I accidentally cancelled our Booking.com reservation, the hotel could have charged the full amount under its cancellation policy. I called and spoke with Martin, and they kindly waived the fee. I booked again and stayed there, and the hospitality was lovely and the rooms clean. I recommend it!

We'd come back again and again. The view was incredible, and the location beside the beautiful lake made both sunrise and sunset mesmerizing. The warm pool was wonderful on a cold day, and the panorama wellness area seemed thoughtfully designed and very well maintained. Staff were lovely, welcoming, and always ready to help. Breakfast was great, with fresh ingredients, bread, fruit, cheese, sausage, eggs made to order, and waffles. Pretty much everything you'd want from a great breakfast buffet. 10/10.

We booked through Booking and came with friends, but only learned on arrival that the spa center was closed. The staff said this had been mentioned, though there was no information about it in the booking details. The apartment wasn't very clean: the walls were dirty and it looked as if the cleaning had only been superficial. There was a coffee machine but no coffee or tea, a small thing that was still disappointing. The overall impression was average. The hotel description should be more transparent and cleanliness better.
