Narzissendorf Zloam

We had to change our plans for next summer after the price for the same apartment and occupancy rose by 20% between late October and mid-December. Back in October, our employer hadn't confirmed our holiday dates, so we couldn't finalize the booking then. The hotel itself offered decent accommodation, but we found the pricing hard to follow. Clearer prices would help guests make informed decisions.

The location works well if you want seclusion, but you NEED A CAR TO DO ANYTHING. In recent years the local ski lift has barely been usable because of its low altitude. Inside, the TV cabinet was a real design flop: when its swing doors were open, they partly blocked the bedroom entrance. The Alpen style is beautifully done, the modern facility has a lovely Alpine look, and the private mini-sauna in the room is a great way to unwind. Dining is okay, though nothing special. It looks stylish, but at this price the value isn't quite there.

These villas make a lovely getaway with family or friends, set in beautiful surroundings. The fresh wood construction and smell feel wonderfully authentic to the Austrian countryside. It did get a little chilly in bad weather, though, since the heating wasn't enough and couldn't be adjusted manually inside each villa.

The house is new and nice, and we liked the food and service at Zloam Wirt Restaurant, plus the great cakes and service at Zloam cafe. But housekeeping never came during our stay, so we got no fresh towels, trash removal, or clean bedding. There was no firewood, and with four days of rain the house was cold. There aren't optional radiators either, and I don't want to clean on holiday. Given the weather in this area, next time we'd choose a hotel with an indoor spa and activities.
