The food was spot on: the quarter duck, both schnitzels with mixed salad, and the roast pork split across two plates were all perfect. We’d booked for five of us, three adults and two children, on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., but the restaurant was packed and tense. There was no free table when we arrived, and the owner was taking payments in the dining room. It was pure chaos. Some people who’d finished eating invited us to join their table while they waited to pay. Our order finally came around 2:15 p.m. Go sometime, but definitely not on a Sunday!!! Best regards! The large table in front of the stairs to the rooms was especially handy for our 60th birthday celebration, and we had a fun evening there. There were six of us staying for two nights in mid-May 2025, and we all enjoyed it. The rooms were simple and clean, with great mattresses, though the church bells rang early. I liked the dinner menu, a small choice of excellent, high-quality dishes, and the wood-fired pizza was delicious too. Breakfast through dinner, we’d recommend it and will definitely come back. The garden is a lovely spot to sit, quiet and cozy, and the people are friendly. Inside, though, the dining room is dark and a bit dated, and the flies are a real nuisance. The food is tasty, well cooked, and good quality, but the pizza is much too small for the price, more like a child’s portion while costing as much as a whole one. I’d give it 4 out of 5: good food and a great outdoor area, though the interior could use some attention.

I’ve come back many times because the food is excellent. In summer, the beer garden under the big chestnut tree is a wonderful place to spend time, and the hall works perfectly for family celebrations.
