We had clear, easy check-in instructions, and the room was clean and well organized. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. Free detergent, a washing machine, and a dryer were a big help on our longer trip. We used the property as a base for Salzburg, Lake Königssee, and Hallstatt, all around 30 minutes to an hour away. Parking nearby is paid, capped at €10 a day, and there’s also blue-zone street parking. We visited over the weekend and managed to park during the free hours. A fantastic stay, and I’d definitely recommend it.

We always enjoy the Salt and have never really had a bad experience. The units are clean and the service is good. My only disappointment was that we weren’t offered free early check-in. After coming back for quite a few years, I’d expected a little something extra.

The apartment and location are very good, and the contact-free check-in and checkout were easy. A couple of things fell short, though, including some issues with customer service. Don’t expect the rooftop terrace view to look as good as it does in the hotel pictures. Nearby parking costs €6 per day, except from Saturday to Sunday, and there’s no longer a free parking lot in town.

We had a relaxed, enjoyable stay in a beautiful apartment with nice furniture, a well-equipped kitchen, and free laundry in the building. The hallways are extremely loud. At any hour, I could hear doors slamming and people talking, as though everyone was competing to shut doors the loudest. Management could do something to quiet the building. The Wi-Fi also needs improving. It was barely good enough to stream a movie, which was a letdown on evenings in.

The Salt Townhouse is clean and modern, right at the end of Altstadt Hallein. Staff were friendly and helpful when I could reach them. Finding the property with a rental car and its GPS was difficult, and I ended up at another Salt property. Nobody answered the call button there, and I couldn’t reach anyone on Whatsapp around 4 in the afternoon. I also couldn’t get help with a laundry facility problem around 8:30pm. No one was in the building, and I got no reply on Whatsapp. The coffee shop opened at 8am. Parking is offsite, with a kiosk that offers multiple languages.
