Dora, the manager and concierge, made the trip for us. She helped us figure out the city, suggested day trips, and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We can’t recommend staying here enough. The location was beautiful, the rooms and facilities were spotless, and we spent plenty of time in the shared space.

We stumbled across Hotel Angelika while in Bregenz to watch a friend perform at the Opera Festival. It’s a bit out of the way, though getting around by public transport was fairly easy, and the beautiful area near the lake made that fine by us. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Dora was especially helpful, checking in to see if we needed anything, which we did since we don’t speak German. When rain threatened our gondola plans, she mapped out a great mostly indoor itinerary and lent us umbrellas. I’d send all my friends here, 10/10.

The common room is a cozy former pub, with a coffee machine and a small kitchenette, though there are no hotplates. Drinks and snacks are available from a vending machine, and there’s also a lounge with pool tables. Those coffee-machine common areas stay open around the clock, which is handy when the neighbors keep things busy half the night. Check-in works reasonably well, and the card access and cameras in public spaces make the place feel secure. Staff are rarely around. The price is reasonable, but breakfast isn’t included.
