Schreiners Berghof

We had a really pleasant 7-night stay, helped along by the warm, welcoming feel of this family-run hotel. The Schreiner family are hands-on throughout the business, and the whole place is kept impressively clean and tidy despite its size. With the rooms, food, and facilities we got for the price, Schreiner's Berghof felt like a bargain. There’s plenty of parking right at the hotel, plus two EV chargers. The view over Hartberg and the surrounding area is breathtaking. Next time we’ll bring binoculars so we can make out more of the places Mr. Schreiner senior describes in such detail. We stayed in UG1 and UG2. Both rooms were spacious, and the rooms share a large terrace with a divider for privacy. The pool was never crowded when we were there, and there were always plenty of parasols and sunbeds. If I remember right, it was 140 cm deep throughout. The water was heated to 24C using the hotel’s solar PV system, which felt just right for cooling off on hot summer days. It was also as clean as the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was great: fresh rolls, cakes baked by Mrs. Schreiner senior, cereals, freshly boiled eggs, ham and cold meats, jams, honey, local cheeses, fresh fruit, butter, and a choice of coffees. We also had fresh orange and apple juice, pressed from fruit from the Schreiner's own apple trees. We came at the end of July '22 with our 2 children. The hotel’s decor and ambience are fabulous, mixing rustic elements with modern accents. Many thanks to the Schreiner family for making our stay so pleasant and special. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

We’ve already booked our next holiday here. The location is wonderful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was big and comfortable, breakfast was great, and there’s a swimming pool with a view. Wow!

The staff were so friendly, and the rooms had all the essentials. It’s a wonderful spot with amazing views. I’d happily come back anytime and highly recommend it for a getaway.
