Hotel Bräu

As a solo English-speaking traveller, I found the service pretty hostile, even though the food itself was nice. When I asked the waitress in English about the dishes, she said she didn't know and didn't speak English, and seemed offended by my questions. Compared with the great service I've had elsewhere in the area, this wasn't good enough.

The family are always helpful and very trusting, and the food is good quality with generous portions. I've stayed at this family-run hotel three times now, in room 109 with two adults and two large teenagers. It's a spacious family room, with a smaller twin room off the main double bedroom. The main room has traditional wooden walls and ceiling, a safe, TV, table, and some older features. The hotel is in a great spot in the center of the valley and village, handy for heading farther up the valley or going to Innsbruck. One possible downside is traffic noise early in the morning if you sleep with the windows open, but it's a small price to pay for such a great hotel and staff.

Marco especially made us feel welcome, and the owner and staff were all very friendly. It was my first visit, though my husband had been here 30 years ago. A beautiful hotel and setting, with a balcony, a comfortable bed, and excellent food with plenty of variety. Can't wait to return.

The rooms are comfortable, and we enjoyed three nights here. Breakfast and dinner were quite good, with more than enough to eat. The spa has three saunas and other places to relax, plus drinks, fruit, and some cream to help tired muscles feel normal again. We can absolutely recommend the hotel.
