Hartweger's Hotel

We had a perfect stay at this fantastic holiday hotel. The owners are lovely and stop by over meals for a chat and to check that everything’s comfortable. Staff balance professionalism with a personal touch. There was always plenty to choose from at the breakfast and dinner buffets, even when every table was full.

The care and attention to detail in this family-run hotel really stood out. Service was great, the location was fantastic, and we loved the breakfast and dinner choices. The spa was another highlight, with a heated pool, two Finnish saunas, one on the rooftop and one in the spa area, a steam room, and a couple of other facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Our family room was warm and cozy, with a magnificent mountain view. There’s a pool and sauna, and the food is varied and delicious. The hotel is only a few kilometers from Schladming and about 1 km from the slopes, with a shuttle bus connection. Wonderful place, great service, and kind, helpful staff.

After three stays, I can say this place is amazing. The rooms are spacious, most have a balcony, and there’s plenty of ski and boot storage. We’ve stayed over Christmas twice. Our family of seven fit comfortably in one room, with room for the tables, a small Christmas tree we brought along, and games of Trivial Pursuit. There’s a regular bus to the piste, and a taxi firm next door. I haven’t visited in summer, but they have bikes and other things too. The spa is modern and clean, and massages are available. There’s tea, fruit, and cucumber or lemon water. The pool’s a good size, with a jacuzzi section and water jets. The infrared room is good, though it only treats your back. The scented steam room is awesome, and there are two saunas. It’s a great way to unwind after a day on the Schladming slopes. Food is available throughout the day, hot and cold, from bacon and eggs at breakfast to roast pork in the evening, with lasagne in between. The staff are friendly and provide great service all day long. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
