We were especially glad to find a lift across the road that worked well for our 5-year-old, and Hinterglemm is only about a five-minute walk away. The hotel sits between there and Saalbach, with a ski area that suits beginners and experienced skiers alike. After skiing, the pools and spa were a real treat. The indoor pool is roomy and comfortably warm, while the outdoor pool is warmer still and looks out over the mountains. We had sunny March weather, with daily temperatures around 10-18°C, and enjoyed the outdoor pool and jacuzzi in the daytime and at night. The modern facilities were spotless. Our room was stylish, practical, comfortable, and very clean. There are mountain-view and pool-view options, both lovely. The whole hotel feels cozy and well cared for, especially the lobby with its fireplace. Food was excellent, and there was a good range of wine included, with an even broader selection on the extra wine list. Coffee and tea were available all day. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces at no extra charge, including a large underground garage with electric car charging and ski storage. A very comfortable all-inclusive stay. We'd happily return, maybe in spring or summer too.

Getting ready to ski was easy: the lockers are roomy, and our boots were warm each morning. The bus stop is right outside, or it's a flat 200-meter walk to the nearest drag lift. The hotel is at the edge of Hinterglemm, about a ten-minute walk from the center. Our room was small, but had everything we needed, including a big wardrobe, a large bathroom, and lots of hooks for coats, which ski hotels often lack. I imagine the bigger rooms feel even more luxurious. The spa was very good, and every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. Meals were a highlight. In the morning we chose our starter, main, and dessert for dinner, which were served by a waiter. There was an excellent salad buffet, several soups, and an impressive range of bread and cheese. We had a very enjoyable holiday at a fantastic hotel.

Dinner had fish, meat, and vegan choices, while lunch came with a different hot dish plus pastries, apple strudel, and Topfenstrudel. Breakfast was a full buffet, with eggs cooked however you wanted. The food was excellent, and after skiing we made good use of the outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, and plunge pool for the brave. We'd been coming for years and this was our first visit back since Covid. The staff were as warm as ever, and Kristian remembered us from our last stay, which was a lovely surprise. The rooms had also been updated with new furnishings and bathrooms. The all-inclusive setup now covers tea, coffee, and wine. There's also a beer room with Austrian beers and Steigl on tap, and we managed to fit in the included lunch between ski sessions. For skiing, the location is ideal: rental is a two-minute walk away, a T-bar across the road connects to the pistes, and you can ski back to the hotel. For me, this is one of the best hotels in Saalbach/Hinterglemm. I've travelled all over the world and put it in my TOP 5. Great rooms and facilities, wonderful staff, excellent food, and drinks available hot, cold, or alcoholic. I can't wait to return next year.

Our four-year-old especially loved the kids program. The childcare staff were kind and welcoming, and there are lots of useful things to borrow for families, including bikes, strollers, hiking poles, kids carriers, and children's books. Downstairs, the play area has high-quality toys and appliances. The Joker Card, included in the room price, gives access to ski lifts and other activities, and the region has plenty of child-friendly trails and playgrounds. The garden was spacious and beautifully kept, with quiet places to sit and sunbeds spread out so guests aren't right beside one another. We also enjoyed the pools, playground, sports activities, and campfire. When we wanted to roast marshmallows one evening, the hotel got everything ready for us, a thoughtful touch. Food was very good, with dinners combining buffet and menu choices. The self-service bar was convenient, and the wine selection was especially impressive, even among the wines included in the price. Staff in the restaurant were as friendly as the rest of the team. Breakfast did start to feel repetitive after six nights, so a little more variety there would help. The hotel feels warm and personal, and is spacious without being overwhelming. We had a wonderful stay at Theresia Family & Garden Hotel. The staff were helpful from arrival and made sure we had what we needed. I'd recommend Theresia Garden Hotel to families wanting a calm mountain break with activities and good food. Great value, and we'll be back.

We've returned to Gartenhotel Theresia for a second visit and would happily recommend it. The owners clearly care about their guests, and the service is excellent. It's a welcoming, cozy place to unwind after an active day in the mountains, with a nice blend of traditional and modern style. The location makes it easy to explore Saalbach and Hinterglemm, which you can walk to. Food matters a lot to us, and they consistently serve creative, delicious vegetarian meals, with vegan options if wanted.
