The gondola is just a three-minute walk away, and the breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from. My modern, comfortable room was cleaned every day; I stayed in room 201, which even had a stylish bath in the room. I’d happily stay again and recommend the hotel.

We had a lovely summer holiday at Hotel Sonnberg. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of vegan choices clearly labeled so we knew what we could eat. Our room was clean and cosy, and the location was great for setting off on a hike.

The staff at this friendly family-run hotel went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs. Evening meals aren’t served regularly, but when they were available, they made sure there were vegetarian and vegan options. We enjoyed the short, two-minute stroll into town. Our ground-floor room was a little dark and could potentially be overlooked by people eating in the summer room, though it didn’t bother us too much. I’d suggest asking for a room higher up or away from the restaurant area, although other ground-floor rooms may have similar issues. The lifts were 3, 5, 10 and 12 minutes away on foot, based on our summer walk in normal shoes. That would feel a bit far in ski boots.

The owners are especially kind and friendly, and the location works perfectly for skiing, with the closest lift and slope only 100m away. Our Chaletsuite mansarde had a cosy modern alpine look, plenty of space, and everything felt clean and functional. It also came with a small kitchenette, a fridge, and a private infrared chair lounge on the balcony. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of tasty choices. Drinks are kept in fridges around the hotel and charged at checkout, a smart and efficient setup. For the price and what you get, this is an extremely good choice.
