We had room 407, a spacious king room with a sofa bed, and it felt very well finished. The bed was comfortable, there was lots of storage and space for ski clothes, and the new walk-in shower was great. I think the hotel has recently been refurbished and renamed HappyYellow. Breakfast was excellent, mostly cold dishes, and the restaurant was good too. The ski bus stops right outside and gets you to Saalbach or Hinterglemm in about five minutes. Saalbach is also around a 20-minute walk for an evening out. Google describes it as ski-in/ski-out, but that isn't really true, though skiing back might be possible with plenty of snow. A good place to stay.

The staff made us feel very welcome, from the helpful reception team when we arrived to everyone making an effort to make the stay go well. At breakfast, Elena was especially helpful and always ready to sort things out. Carmen looked after us in the restaurant each evening, where I loved the salads and fish with vegetables. The food there was excellent. We were four adults and a child, and found the family rooms comfortable, though they do need renovating. I heard they're due to be renovated soon, which has me excited to book again. We'll definitely return to Saalbach and Happyellow.

Service and the place itself were okay, but the food was another matter. That shouldn't be called pizza. It felt downright dangerous.
