Hotel Edelweiss

Hello Edelweiss, Thank you for the holiday magic days at Silvestrin. We stayed in suites and superior rooms with half board, and the interiors were very nice and classy. The menu was very good each day, and the wine list was excellent. We had the same waiter all week, serving us every day. Klasse. The staff in the bar were very attentive during afternoon snacks. Getting to the lift was easy, just 20 steps and we were on our skis, with the ski shop next door. The lift and piste right by the hotel worked perfectly for families and learners, with easy access to the huge ski resort and ski schools. There was also a parking cellar with a charger. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We also had superb rooms and outstanding food. The hotel is ideally placed, just 50 meters from the nearest ski lift, and I'd highly recommend it.

We couldn't get a suite this time, but one of the recently refurbished standard rooms was still warm and comfortable. The restaurant was up to its usual high dining standard. The one thing that disappointed us was that none of the reception staff seemed to realize we were returning, loyal guests, probably on our tenth visit.

We were especially impressed by the restaurant, which we thought was the best in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. It was beautiful, the service was quick and the food was good. The staff were amazing, particularly Dorina, Erwin and Andreas, who made our stay special. We spent 8 nights here on a ski vacation. The hotel is modern, new, clean and high quality, with a lovely pool, sauna facilities and a great breakfast. It's right by the ski lifts and bus station, giving easy access to all the pistes. As first-time visitors to Austria, we were surprised by the €20 room service surcharge. Housekeeping was also very basic: sometimes towels weren't changed, rubbish wasn't taken out, and the floor wasn't cleaned or vacuumed. Even with those issues, we were very happy with the hotel.
