Prentnergut

The farm kept our three children, aged 10 months, 3, and 5, happily busy, with a playground, animals, ride-on toys, and a playroom, all set against a breathtaking mountain backdrop. The Pernkopf family welcomed us warmly and shared useful ideas for family outings nearby. They were attentive and helpful throughout, and we felt at ease right away. Our apartment was modern, spotless, and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the baby equipment, including bed rails, a diaper pail, and a highchair. We had six wonderful days at Prentnergut and would highly recommend it to families.

The setting is beautiful, with forest and mountain views, and you feel surrounded by nature. Children have plenty of places to play and can visit and pet the animals whenever they like. We saw two sheep, a goat, lots of chickens, cows with calves, two pigs, three cats, and three guinea pigs. Breakfast was included and, for the price, I highly recommend it. The farmer's wife bakes the pastries herself, and there were waffles on Sunday. Coffee, water, milk, and tea are provided; muesli, fruit and vegetables, butter, ham, cheese, and jam are laid out, while scrambled eggs with bacon and soft-boiled eggs are available on request. The kitchen was well equipped, and we cooked twice. If you plan to cook, shop in the village early or drive about 25 minutes to the next largest town, since village supermarkets close on Saturday afternoons. Our second-floor apartment had a lovely view but no balcony, and there's no elevator. Inside were a small kitchen, dining table, two double beds, a TV, two wardrobes, and a renovated bathroom. We settled many details by email beforehand, and there's an 11 kW electric vehicle charging station for guests. The stay includes the Pyhrn-Priel AktivCard, which gives free access to many outings, including Wurzelalm. We highly recommend the Prentnergut.

The rooms are functional, and breakfast is very good. Every request is met warmly, and you meet several generations of welcoming people here. It's an idyllic, peaceful farm with a big play area and pleasant places to sit back and unwind. Thank you.

For anyone looking for quiet, hiking, or time in nature, Prentnergut is an ideal place. Interns are welcome and well cared for too.
