Almhof Roswitha

I didn't stay overnight, but ate at the restaurant twice. The food and service were both really good, and everyone working there was friendly. The salad bar was especially fresh and great. If you're after proper Austrian food, this is a good place to go. Prices aren't cheap, but what you get feels like good value: fresh food in a welcoming restaurant.

We visited Hotel Almhof Roswitha between 05/03/2022 and 11/03/2022 for a ski holiday in the Zillertal arena. For a trip focused on skiing, the location worked perfectly, with the möslbahn within walking distance. There aren't cafes or shops close by, but that didn't bother us. Everyone on the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with plenty of local specialties and products. We'd highly recommend it!

We stayed in the Erika chalet for our honeymoon, and having our own sauna and whirlpool made it feel like a real treat. The breakfast basket delivered in the morning had regional products, fresh farmer's butter and milk, delicious cheese and Müsli. The mountain view and being surrounded by nature were lovely, and I think the best privacy is in Erika or Steinquendel. Roswitha and Rudi were incredibly helpful and friendly. For hiking, take a car or the bus to melchboden, then cross the hills and mountains to rastkogelhütte. You can return to melchboden or walk straight down to the hotel by following the signs for mösel. There is a bus, so ask personel about it. Thank you, Roswitha, for such a wonderful stay!

The hotel is small and the service feels really personal, with good food, a lovely wellness area and a great terrace. It's high up in the mountains and a long way from a little town. A bus goes to the slopes, and the service was very good. I really enjoyed my stay!
