Haus Dornauer

We came home refreshed and happy after a week here. The place was peaceful for relaxing, even though restaurants, attractions, the train station, and public transport were close by. The terraces gave us fantastic views to the east and west. Inside, the rooms were comfortable, the kitchen had everything, and the apartment was very clean. We got a warm welcome, and there was always someone around to answer questions.

The location worked really well for skiing. The ski bus stops right outside, and the bakery next door opens at 6:30. Horbergbahn is just two stops away, though you can walk there too. The skiing around Horbergbahn was pleasant, especially taking Tux 150 towards Eggalm. Zell am Ziller, about a 10-minute drive away and connected to Gerlos, is well worth it too. When the snow isn’t great, Hintertux is about half an hour by car. We stayed in room 4. It was small but fine, at the back with a balcony, and had a nice shower. The mattresses were okay, but the pillow was a bit thin. The sauna was a lovely extra at 5 euros per session, and the value for money was more than okay. It’s a very nice guesthouse with lovely people and a warm welcome. Breakfast was delicious every morning.

Maria and Werner were kind and accommodating hosts. They even made room straight away for our e-bikes in the lockable garage. The apartment was beautiful and cozy, and we had a wonderful vacation. We’ll definitely come back. Ludger and Michaela

For 200 Euros total, including taxes and fees, I rented the apartment for three nights, from August 7th to 10th. It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and views in three directions. The apartment was new, very clean, and in an excellent location. The owner was a nice, respectful, well-mannered man, and his wife was the same.
