The steak was the real surprise: thick, juicy, tender, and cooked really well. We also shared cheeseburgers, which were generous and juicy too. Everyone in our group was happy with the meal, and the waiters were super nice. I'd come back here to eat again without a doubt.

We used this as a stop on the way to Munich, and the rooms were small but fine. Breakfast was European style. The restaurant gets very busy, and the food felt expensive for typical German dishes. Tap water is charged too. Honestly, we could have driven to a grocery store and eaten quicker, for about a quarter of the price, probably with tastier and healthier food. In July it was hot, with no air conditioning, and people outside were shouting and partying well past midnight.

There’s a pleasant outdoor area, and free parking close by. The schnitzel was very good, with plenty of other Austrian dishes on offer. A good spot for a beer or dinner if you're in Hohenems.
