Almhütte Innerlipper, Lipperalm

The farm supplied butter, bacon, bread, milk, and eggs, which made the stay especially lovely. Sledding was right across the street, and the run stayed lit until after 10 pm. We were there in a holiday apartment a few years ago: it was clean, had everything we needed, and offered a beautiful view. A really pleasant experience. Thank you, Schaller family.

The bread alone was a highlight, fresh and crusty, and so good I barely wanted to put anything on it. The apartment felt warm and welcoming, and the mountain air and scenery were breathtaking. In Kalkstein, East Tyrol, the quiet was just what I needed to get away from city life, with sheep in the background and the feeling that you could sit back and leave your worries behind. I arrived thinking vacation meant sun, sand, and sea, but this stay completely changed that picture. I hiked and enjoyed the nature, and the Alpine views, peace, and bread all exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return and see more of the area.
