Obergraferhof

Albrecht Ortner made us feel very welcome at the Obergraferhof farm. One moment we won't forget was getting to see a calf shortly after it was born, after Albrecht took the time to show us around his barn. The rooms were comfortable and fully equipped, and we didn't lack a thing. For a heartfelt, authentic farm holiday with lots of hospitality, nature, and a genuine look at farm life, this is a great place. We'd love to return and highly recommend the Obergraferhof.

We had a spacious apartment on the south-facing side of an old farmhouse, with a large balcony facing south. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was practical and well equipped, and the bathroom felt almost luxurious. The farmers were friendly and helpful. The house sits just before the entrance to Innervillgraten, on a lovely slope. The village center is around a 30-minute walk away on a well-marked route across a lush meadow. There are countless trails in the valley and hills, plus good cycling paths, though some of the markings could be better. We felt very much at home and would love to come back next year.

The host was always kind, and his smile really was contagious. We stayed in the ZIRBE apartment, which was very large and comfortable, simple but nice, and well equipped. The farm is close to the Graf waterfalls, whose sound at night made a wonderful soundtrack for us.

One star feels too generous. We had booked and paid a deposit, but then spent 1.5 hours outside a locked door while the owner never arrived. His phone was forwarded to a fax machine, he didn't answer his mobile, and he didn't return our calls. We were suddenly left with nowhere to stay. We later heard this had happened before. In our opinion, it was pure fraud.
