Hotel Sailer

I’d happily come back to hotel sailer. I’d first booked somewhere in the city centre, then switched here because being near the station seemed easier with my suitcases. That turned out to be a great choice. Innsbruck is beautiful, safe, and easy to explore on foot, and the walk into the centre was pleasant. My room faced the street and had a glimpse of the alps, but it was quiet. It was small, with little room for luggage, though fine for me travelling solo in the most basic room. Two people with two large suitcases might find it cramped. The bathroom was clean and practical, with a little rod above the shower for hanging washing. The shower pressure was a bit low. There was a mini fridge, and I was told the tap water was drinkable. Booking through the hotel website also got me a free welcome drink at the bar. The bed was the best part. The mattress felt like sleeping on clouds, the sheets were incredibly soft, and the duvet was warm but light. The glass elevator gives you a view of the mountains on the way to your room. The hotel was modern, clean, and comfortable, exactly the standard I wish more places had. The two ladies working the front desk on 7 May were so helpful. Sorry I didn’t get your names. The corridors were rather dark: the lights use sensors, and sometimes they didn’t come on when I wasn’t standing in the right spot. My room also had about six steps leading up to it. The front desk staff were happy to help, and there are other rooms without stairs, so ask for one if you have luggage. There’s a locked room where bags can be stored if your room isn’t ready. The city was easy to walk around. I’d been told the tap water was safe to drink, and it tasted fine. The room was small but enough for me on my own, though it might feel tight for two people carrying large cases. The bathroom was clean and functional, and the shower pressure was a little weak. We had dinner in the cosy restaurant and really enjoyed the traditional schnitzel. Breakfast was good too, with some homemade items. The hotel is close to the train station and conveniently placed for the old city centre. My room was spacious and clean, as were the public areas and central stairs.

We were there to ski, and catching buses to the ski areas from the station was extremely convenient. The station in Innsbruck is only a 3-4 minute walk away. Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, and breakfast was fresh and varied, with bread baked each day. There’s ski storage and paid parking, with both a garage and outdoor spaces.

The air conditioner didn’t work properly, which was a big drawback. Otherwise, the room was spacious and clean, the staff were nice, and breakfast was decent. The location was handy, a short walk from the station and not too far from the old town.
